A centerpiece of that plan is “MLS Season Pass,” a sleekly designed streaming package that ditches the fragmentation other sports suffer from and lets fans stream globally every game — without blackouts — in the Apple TV app. The package costs $14.99 per month or $99 for the season and slightly less ($12.99 per month or $79 for the year) for existing Apple TV+ subscribers. “Once people tuned into the product, they were watching longer than our linear versions in past years,” Camilo Durana, executive vice president of MLS’ Apple partnership, properties and events, told CNN. On Wednesday, Apple released a new Sports app that shows live MLS scores and pushes people to watch them on “MLS Season Pass” on the Apple TV app. That matches a third-party report from analytics firm Antenna showing that “MLS Season Pass” was getting 6,000 new signups a day before Messi arrived but soared to 110,000 signups a day after he signed.

It will be easy to watch the Super Bowl, but many NFL games are out of fans' reach. But for many NFL fans, particularly those who live in a different state than the team they root for, watching football is rarely so easy. YouTube TV also provided access to a few Sunday afternoon Packers games on Fox. But several Packers games fell outside the NFL's regional coverage map , often leaving me with no choice but to watch Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. Yes, I had access to NFL Redzone through YouTube TV, but that just provided me with occasional peeks at the game I was missing.

The broadcast was interrupted Sunday when a fire alarm went off in the NFL Network building, which is located across the street from SoFi Stadium in the Hollywood Park complex. Host Scott Hanson informed viewers that his production crew had to evacuate the studio. An NFL Network official said there had been a false alarm at the studio. The alarm did not effect pregame preparations for the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers across the street.

And only 11% of fans in their 30s spent more than $1,000 annually on sports betting, versus 28% of younger fans. That number was just 33% among fans aged 30 and up. Most of these fans said they played in a fantasy league during the 2022 football season, but most older fans didn't.

Last year, YouTube secured the rights to NFL Sunday Ticket. Pricing will begin at $249 for YouTube TV subscribers and go up to $489 for non-subscribers. In a press release, YouTube announced that it is offering pre-sale packages to Sunday Ticket starting at $249 for YouTube TV subscribers and going up to $349 for non-subscribers. Afterwards, the price jumps up by $50 for YouTube TV subscribers and $100 for non-subscribers. April 11 (Reuters) - Alphabet Inc's (GOOGL.O) YouTube said on Tuesday its pricing plans for the Sunday Ticket package of National Football League (NFL) games will be between $249 and $489. In a blog post, YouTube said the full season of Sunday Ticket will be available for a presale offer price of $249 - $100 cheaper than the retail price - for people who subscribe to YouTube TV's base video-service plan. Consumers who want the Sunday games package without a subscription to YouTube TV's other offerings will have to pay $449, while a bundle consisting of Sunday Ticket and NFL Redzone is available at a retail price of $489 for the season. Joining deep-pocketed companies that sought to grow their dominance in live sports streaming, YouTube in December signed a multi-year deal to exclusively stream the NFL's Sunday Ticket package of games in the United States. Sunday Ticket lets subscribers watch all local and out-of-market U.S. games of the day, while football fans otherwise in any given market can only watch a limited number of games.

New York CNN —The popular NFL Sunday Ticket package is leaving DirectTV and heading to YouTube TV. The NFL announced the partnership with YouTube TV, owned by Google, on Thursday. Starting next season, NFL Sunday Ticket will be available as an add-on package on YouTube TV and standalone on YouTube Primetime Channels. In 2020, the NFL started streaming NFL Network and NFL RedZone to YouTube TV subscribers. The poaching of Sunday Ticket from DirecTV also represents a major boost to YouTube TV, one of the many online television services that seeks to replace cable and satellite television.
